Bay Towers is a Gold Standard certified accommodation in Belize. This certification mandates that we apply, at a minimum, standards of performance (as prescribed by the Belize Tourist Board) on our premises that seeks to safeguard your health and safety and those of our employees during your stay. Your cooperation and patience in the implementation of these policies/processes is appreciated.

The following outlines key policies/processes:

• A Gold Standard Program Manager (PM) and an Alternate are a part of the Bay Towers team responsible to implement regulations related to Covid 19.
• Routine checks will be conducted by the PM to ensure that protocols are being adhered to
• Temperature checks will be done upon check-in and when other circumstances warrant it.
• Sanitizing stations are placed at strategic locations on the premises and in rooms to aid with health and safety protocols
• Physical distance protocol (6 feet between one another) is in place and must be adhered to.
• Protective face covering is required in public spaces
• A room is available on the premises for quarantine in the event a guest shows symptoms consistent with Covid 19. Costs associated with quarantining on site will be borne by the guest.
• The Bay Towers Program Manager will act as liaison between a guest who manifests symptoms and the Ministry of Health (Belize).
• Cleaning protocols for rooms, equipment, public facilities etc., are in place. The recommendation is that rooms are cleaned and sanitized daily and equipment and other public facilities cleaned and sanitized after every use.
• Management will endeavor to reduce physical contact including the check-in and check-out processes and for day to day communication with the guest.
• Guests are encouraged to visit or utilize only those facilities within the “Safe Corridor” designation.
• Foreign visitors are required to download the Belize Health App and to provide a negative PCR test result in order to gain entry into Belize. Please visit www.travelbelize.org for additional details related to your travel to Belize.
